Top 5 Hacks & Tricks for Leveling Up in MapleStory 2
Have you been smitten by the brilliant gameplay of MapleStory 2 (MS 2), the recent massively online multiplayer title to hit the gaming arena? The cool 3D gameplay is all about slaying demons and monsters in dark dungeons and gritty terrains across Maple World. Are you ready to rule this action-packed saga and prove your playing knack to gamers from across the globe? Playing Maplestory 2 is definitely more challenging than its prequel but with a little diligence and perseverance, you can master the basics. These will cement your position as a potential winner in this highly engaging title. Today, we will discuss top five hacks & tricks that you should consider for moving up levels in an MS 2 challenge.
Focus On Epic Quests to Reach Max Level
If you are a beginner in MapleStory 2 start by focusing on the Epic Quests. These are part of the main story where your goal is to hit the current max level, 50. In order to move to higher levels, you must be strong and quick-witted to win each challenge that typically requires killing your enemy or an opponent while maintaining your spirit levels and health statistics. We would recommend creating multiple characters to reach up to the required level quickly. Doing epic quests is the quickest way to reach the max level, allowing you to do dungeons. These are for experienced players and are far more thrilling. If you have enough Mesos (game points/money), we suggest moving onto dungeons after level 50 to progress through the storyline. Use the Mesos to grab a 2100 GS to complete hard dungeon challenges and use up your daily/weekly runs. This will give you enough experience to hit story dungeons and progress further in MapleStory 2.
Once you reach 50, your quest has just begun.
The Maple Guide Mission
The enchanting maple guide has three parts, each featuring a specific mission. While it is good to ideally complete the first two parts to earn rewards and build your character, the third mission requires making a 'completion' choice. For this mission, titled "No Such Thing as a Free Enchant", you need to decide whether to complete this part or not. If you choose to leave it unfinished, you will not have to pay too much for the Onyx crystals, just around 2000 Mesos. However, if you choose to complete it, then you will not have the chance to come back to the map and check with the NPC character for purchasing the Onyx Crystals. It is a good idea to have one character who does not complete this mission, so you can buy your crystal in only 2000 Mesos. Another hack to go back after leaving the map is to open up the Maple Guide and click on the large "Begin Lesson" button. This trick will come handy if the crystals price is worth your effort.
Spend your Onyx crystals with prudence.
Manage Your Equipment at Each Level
Also, keep a check on the trophies you can partially complete throughout the story, so you do not waste time playing all the way through or backtrack just to finish the mission. At each level of MapleStory 2, you will need to keep your onyx crystals with you and dismantle any equipment you receive from moving up a new level. If you have any item or equipment that cannot be dismantled, make sure you give it off or sell it to the NPC. If an equipment is better and more powerful than what you already have, it is good to upgrade your kit otherwise, it is best to flay it or vendor it to the NPC.
Manage your equipment wisely.
Keep a Check On Your AP/SP Distribution
AP and SP are ability or skill points you earn through playing each level and completing different missions in MapleStory 2. These are important for your character's development. For AP distribution, earn and keep your points in vital statistics; it will improve your ability to inflict damage. For example, Strength for Knights & Berserker, Luck for Thieves & Assassins, Intelligence for Wizard & Priests and Dexterity for Archer and Heavy Gunners etc. Focus on earning more SP (Skill Points) as well, testing each new skill at least once as you unlock it at a certain level. Your goal should be to accumulate a skill set that could step up your damaging ability, thus increasing your chances of winning quests against fierce monsters. Even if your character is a priest, focus on damage while keeping 'healing' points in mind in parallel. You can also experiment with your AP & SP distribution for free to bring out the best in your character.
Take Up Easy Missions & Mini Games
For MapleStory 2 beginners, it is a good idea to start with easy exploration missions & goals where they can easily earn points to strengthen their character. Binoculars are a good example, so go for such tasks while partially completing goals like throwing an item on the map or using a piece of equipment or weapon as you progress through the game. Study the game world, explore, test resources before you dive into the battling sprees. Also, complete mini-games that occasionally pop up on the right side of your screen. These are great for grabbing some experience, reward points, and trophies. You may want to avoid it, however, if you want to get to the max level (level 50) quickly.
